Week 18 (Jan 13 – 17)
Monday

  • Warmup – Play Silent Clap
  • Assign 2-3 different art forms to each student – they research to answer the questions: What are the benefits of this art form? The strengths and weaknesses? Provide examples.

Tuesday

  • Warmup – Play Zip, Zap, Zop
  • Students present their research and ask questions

Wednesday

  • Warmup – Play Dance to the Music
  • Students present their research and ask questions
  • Students write about a time in their life that was interesting (recommended) or a period of history they are extremely familiar with
  • Create a plot outline following Freytag’s plot structure

Thursday

  • Warmup – Play 5 Things
  • Pick the songs, dance number, art pieces, etc. that you would incorporate into your Integrated Arts story from your life and place them in your plot structure

Friday

  • Warmup – Play Pass the Sound and Movement
  • Present structures to the class and discuss

  • Looking at list of jobs on AACT’s website, which job seems the most interesting?
  • Read through all job descriptions and make a list of which job qualities listed are also qualities you possess
  • Highlight your most marketable qualities  – what makes this list  smaller than the complete list?
  • Hand your list to a neighbor – have them highlight what they perceive to be your most marketable qualities and have them choose the job they think you are best suited for

Wednesday

  • Warmup – Play Sound Mirror
  • After yesterday’s research and reflection, choose the job you now think you are best suited for
  • Is there a difference between what you think now and what your peer thought yesterday? Why or why not?
  • Create a presentation that not only explains this job, but also presents what you still need to know/experience in order to pursue this career.
